Maktub Studios

Maktub Studios is a candle brand inspired by the soulful world of R&B music. Each candle is named after a popular R&B track, and includes a QR code that leads to a custom playlist designed to complement the scent. The owner reached out to me for help in amplifying the connection between music and candles in her brand. I developed a visual identity that deeply integrates musical elements, using moody, stylized images of recording artists for her social media, incorporating music sheet-inspired visuals, and selecting a rich color palette that enhances the R&B vibe. I compiled all these elements into a cohesive brand style guide, offering a clear framework for her to use as she continues to grow and refine her brand.
